UX and interface redesign for conversational AI tool Cognigy.AI
For the launch of Cognigy.AI v4 in 2020 I led the redesign of one of the leading conversational AI tools
and was responsible for many product expansions since then.In one of my favorite projects for think moto, Cognigy↗ approached us to redesign the user interface for their
industry-leading conversational AI tool, Cognigy.AI, and to help them step from a startup to an
enterprise-level SaaS. We had already been an partnered for a year and built a number of projects on their
technology for customers such as Greenpeace and BioNTech.We had the advantage that we knew the tool and it’s strengths and weaknesses inside-out and were happy to
make future projects easier for ourselves by improving the usability and intuitiveness of the node-based
editor and other core features.Subsequent projects for Cognigy included the development of a product and naming system as they expanded
their feature set, and the redesign of the out-of-the-box webchat widget, that a lot of their customers,
such as Lufthansa and Allianz, were using with until then limited capabilities of customization. The main
goal of the
redesign was the improved customization to fit customer brands more closely as well as the inclusion of more
recent technologies, such as generative content and synthetic avatars. The redesigned webchat was rolled out
in Q2 2024.
